Call for Papers | 23rd Skoch Summit, Financial Deepening, 17th-18th June 2010, Mumbai The call for India decade is a call for action from all stakeholders in
India's growth. Concerted action in this decade alone can help achieve
an economic superpower India in the decade to follow. The 23rd Skoch
Summit looks at the issues of reaching and sustaining near double-digit
growth rates through the prism of financial inclusion, managing
inflation, technology infusion, infrastructure development, improved
governance and an enabling policy framework. The 23rd Skoch
Summit built around the central theme of "Financial Deepening," provides a forum for discussion, collaboration and intellectual
exchange for all those interested in any of these fields of research or
practice. On behalf of the Program Advisory Board, we welcome both
academics and practitioners to contribute papers on a wide range of
topics and scholarly approaches including theoretical and empirical
employing qualitative, quantitative and critical methods. Action
research, case studies and research in practice are welcome
approaches.The key topics are as follows:

Besides the above contributions can also be made on an "Enabling Policy Framework for Reaching and Sustaining a Near Double Digit Growth." Selected papers from the Summit will also be considered for publication in "Inclusion," a quarterly publication of Skoch Media or any other publication as deemed fit by the organizers. Skoch Development Foundation is organizing a session titled "Thinkers and Writers Forum" that provides an opportunity to the authors the present their papers to an elite gathering of delegates.
All
the authors whose final papers are selected for will get a complimentary invitation for attending the
Summit. Authors residing in Mumbai region can avail of grant-in-aid of up to INR 2250 to participate and authors from outside Mumbai region can avail of a grant-in-aid of up to INR 6000 as per the registration form. We also invite you to engage in
the interactive discussions, participate in additional sessions,
explore various exhibits and, most of all, cultivate partnerships for

The
Abstract should be 500-600 words and should include the title of the
paper with author’s full name, address, email and phone number of the
author. Authors are also requested to enclose a recent photo (300 dpi
image) and a brief bio of not exceeding 200 words. Incomplete papers
will not be accepted.

• Accuracy for all material supplied is the responsibility of the author. • Figures, tables and images should follow the references. • Footnote References should be given only at the end of the paper.
Please
note that only original papers that have not been published previously
or submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted. The authors of
selected papers accept to grant the copyright of the papers to the
Summit organizers for the use of papers or parts thereof in any of
Skoch publications. The author of selected paper must confirm his/her presence through the Summit and that the paper will be presented at the “Thinkers and Writers Forum”. At least one author of each accepted paper (in case of joint
paper) must be registered for the Summit for that paper to be scheduled
for presentation.
Apart from a review by
a distinguished jury, the paper(s) will also go through a peer review
during the Forum. The author(s) may be asked to update the paper(s) and
re-submit, if required. This would be followed by final selection of
papers to be published in the Compendium.
The
best adjudged paper will be rewarded with Best Paper Award of INR
10,000 which will be announced during Skoch Annual Summit scheduled for
Feb-Mar 2011 at New Delhi.
